The Outreach Program for Soccer
Fall 2007 - Spring 2008

The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS) is a community based training and team soccer program for young athletes with special needs. A TOPS soccer player is defined as any youth player, 6-12 years of age, with a physical or mental disability, who would like to play with a team based on ability, rather than age.

HMMS TOPS will place emphasis on teamwork, development, training and participation. Our goal is to enable young athletes with special needs to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage and self-esteem through
the game of soccer. Six one-hour sessions will be held on Sunday afternoons.

If you are interested in participating, please mark the TOPS box on your registration form. For more information, see the TOPS table at registration.

We need volunteers to make this program a success! The program will need parentslcoaches to assist in organizing the sessions, and mentors (age 12 and up) to serve as "buddies" during the training sessions. Please indicate your willingness to be a TOP soccer volunteer on your registration form.
