INVITATION

The Hampden Middlesex Monroe Silver Spring (HMMS) Soccer Club is sponsoring the 28th Annual Hampden Invitational Girls Soccer Tournament on Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-30, 2010.  The tournament will be held in and around Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania (close to Harrisburg).  HMMS is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL) and the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA).  The tournament is USSF approved.

Application for invitations will be accepted from Girls’ Recreational and League Teams only as follows:

Note:  The Tournament Committee may combine or eliminate age groups and/or move teams up to the next age group dependent upon the number of applicants.  If the need occurs it will be discussed with the affected teams prior to implementing.

Eligibility

You may enter U-11 through U-18 teams with a maximum of 18 players; a maximum of 14 players for U-9 and U-10 teams. Teams and players must be registered with a national affiliate of the USSF, typically either US Club Soccer or with their respective state or national association (US Youth Soccer, AYSO, etc), and must be born during or after the year indicated by the Age Division in which they are to compete. A maximum of three (3) guest players per team are permitted. Authorized player passes/cards will be verified against the official team roster at registration.

  • Teams from outside Region I or Connecticut and New Jersey must have a "Permission to Travel Form signed and stamped by their Association if registering using US Youth Soccer credentials.
  • No such permission to travel is required for teams traveling as US Club Soccer registered teams.

 

Registration

Mandatory team registration will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday May 28th (no exceptions).  Teams will be required to present player passes, certified state rosters, guest player forms (if applicable), and medical release forms for each player at registration.  Permission to Travel forms for Non-USYS Region I sanctioned teams are to be received by May 1, 2009.

FORMAT/AWARDS:

All teams will play a minimum of three (3) games.  Teams will be placed in Divisions within their age group according to their ability.  Individual player trophies will be awarded to the top two to four teams in each Division, depending on the number of teams in the Division. 

*U9 and U10 brackets will be competitive and will receive awards.

The Tournament entry fee’s are listed below:

  • U9 and U10 non-HMMS Team = $ 500 
  • U9 and U10 HMMS Team = $ 450    
  • U11 to U14 non-HMMS Team = $ 550   
  • U11 to U14 HMMS Team = $ 500    
  • U15 to U18  non-HMMS Team = $ 620  
  • U15 to U18 HMMS Team = $ 570

A check or money order made payable to HMMS Soccer must be submitted as outlined on the application form.  The Tournament fee is non-refundable after team selections have been announced.  Teams not accepted will be notified and money promptly refunded.  The Hampden Tournament has had a tradition of accepting all applicants who applied by the deadline date and met all other requirements.  This year the tournament is limited to approximately 200 teams. As in the past, a factor used to accept teams will include the receipt date of the application.  Early submission is recommended.  Hotel rooms are at a premium.  It is recommended that reservations be made prior to application.   Those who wait until after acceptance may have difficulty in finding accommodations.  Lack of hotel accommodations will not be grounds for a refund.
